Greetings!
We are a small family maple business. In 2004, we started by hanging 3 buckets on the giant maple tree in Gramzy’s front yard and boiled the sap in a turkey fryer! Each year we’ve expanded our number of taps and added more yummy maple products!
Through the years, we have upgraded our maple operation with new equipment. We now have a 3’ X 12’ pellet fired evaporator, the only one of its kind in the area. We have about 8 miles of tubing connecting our 2000 taps on a vacuum system with a reverse osmosis machine. We also installed a 20 panel solar array to make our own electricity. We still have some traditional buckets on the maple trees near the sugar-house. It’s always fun for kids of all ages to see and hear the sap filling the buckets one drop at a time!
We can be found at “Sapland,” as a dear friend nicknamed it, throughout the year. When we are not making syrup, we are usually working in the woods on sap lines and tubing or upgrading for the next sugar season. Mother Nature dictates the maple season but we are generally sugaring from February – March. Each year we participate in the NY statewide Maple Weekend event the last two weekends in March. We offer tours, demonstrations, samples and more! It’s a great time for family fun!
Visitors are always welcome throughout the year. We enjoy showing them our sugarhouse and sharing the amazing process of making our delicious maple syrup. We welcome bus and schools groups (please call ahead.) Feel free to stop in if you’re in the area and there is a vehicle in the driveway and we will be happy to show you around! It’s always best to call ahead to check if we are available or if you’d like to place an order.
Enjoy life’s simple pleasures!
The Beasley Family:
